Som Saa – Cook at Home

As it was now time for the hospitality industry to once again open it’s doors we decided to enjoy a last cook at home from The Dishpatch. On this occasion we opted for a Thai feast from Som Saa a place we’ve unfortunately not had the chance to visit yet. But I can honestly say that after enjoying their amazing food today it won’t be very long before we do.

The parcel arrived on the friday as before and was packaged and delivered to the usual high standard. We placed everything in the fridge as we weren’t having it until saturday afternoon. We chose to have the Som Saa Golae Chicken deal priced at £50 for two people x 2 ( no your not reading this wrong 😁 ). This came with the cooking instructions which were made as easy as it could be. In fact it only took 30 minutes to cook and plate every dish. We then sat at the table and tucked into the fabulous food.

The main items on the menu consisted of Green Papaya Salad that was fresh , spicy and a great accompaniment to the Soy Braised Beef Cheeks with Pickled Mustard Greens along with the Jasmine Rice.

The other main items were the Grilled Chicken Thighs in a Southern Style Golae Sauce accompanied with a Cucumber ‘Ajaad’ Relish. There was also a side order of Cashew Nuts with chilli & lime leaf that were heaven.

There was a Oolong Tea and Thai Coconut sweets to finish. This ended a fantastic lunch of amazing Thai food which has made us want to visit the restaurant itself as soon as possible. I would highly recommend not only using Dishpatch but also choosing Som Saa as the service and the food was excellent.

  1. I’ve always wanted to buy a green papaya and make my own Thai salad. Have you ever done that? I’ve mentioned before but will again, how nice for you to have all these options to cook at home!
