Haywards – Sunday Lunch Takeaway

It was great that I was able to support my good friends at Haywards Restaurant in Epping last weekend by purchasing one of their takeaway Sunday Lunches. The lunch is a three course plus bread & petit fours priced at £29.50. Once we got it home there was minimal effort required to prepare each course. The bread just needs to be warmed in the oven , the starter is already plated , the roast just needs to go in the oven for fifteen minutes or four minutes in the microwave and the dessert & petit fours are both ready for your enjoyment. We started with the Granary Sourdough before moving onto our first course a Beetroot Cured Salmon Gravlax , roasted heirloom beetroots & horseradish cream which was absolutely delicious.

Now it was on to the main course of Porchetta & crackling with apricot stuffing , savoy cabbage , carrots . roast potatoes & red wine sauce. This dish was simply amazing and considering it was a takeaway was one of the best roast dinners I’ve had the pleasure of eating.

We then finished with dessert & petit fours. The Raspberry & Lime Mousse , white chocolate chantilly & ginger crumb was an absolute delight. The petit fours were Spiced Vanilla Fudge & Tropical Fruit pate de fruit.

So that brought to an end a truly fabulous takeaway Sunday Lunch where the quality of the food was excellent and to be honest I expect nothing less from this amazing restaurant. It also takes little time to prepare so I would highly recommend trying a takeaway Sunday Lunch.

Thank You to all the team at Haywards for a fantastic lunch and hope to see you all again soon.
