Tandoori Lounge

This is an Indian restaurant that I regard as the best in Essex as they serve the most amazing Punjabi cuisine. Therefore you will understand my massive delight when I heard they were going to reopen (due to popular demand) for takeaway and delivery on a Friday & Saturday evening from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. This made our decision for what we’d be having as our treat this weekend very easy indeed. So having looked at the menu and decided what we were going to have I was poised and ready for the clock to reach half past four. Then as I’d already told them what time I’d be ringing I made the call and to her absolute delight when I said my name owner Haneet welcomed me with a big cheer. She took my order and told me it would be with me in 45 minutes or less and true to their word it arrived bang on time all fresh and hot.

We ordered the Veg Samosas , Lamb Chops , Punjabi Chicken Karahi (spicy) , Teji Mirch Paneer , Lamb Biryani with a Curry Sauce and a Tandoori Naan Bread. I’m also very pleased to say that every dish was amazing. So during these tough times that we’re in at the moment and if your a lover of Indian food then I would highly recommend you pick up the phone and order a takeaway or delivery because believe me you will not be disappointed.

  1. Looks amazing. Reminds me of a dish i made last year when we had friends from India visiting. I’ll have to dig it out to share! Made with tandoori paste.
