This was certainly a fantastic week of amazing food and great hospitality which included some of the best Turkish food , an absolute banging Sunday Roast , a Michelin Star night that I won’t forget in a hurry and finally finishing with a fantastic lunch with my great friends.
I started the week last saturday with another great visit to Oklava to enjoy more of the excellent Turkish cuisine inspired by the very talented chef Selin Kiazim. I’ve been here a few times now and am never disappointed as the food is fantastic which is matched with great friendly service.

On the Sunday I headed back to east london for a first visit to Blacklock Shoreditch and to sample one of their Sunday Roasts. We decided to have the All In where you get a mixture of Beef , Lamb & Pork with all the trimmings. It proved to be one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. Well worth a visit.

Now we moved on to Thursday and my actual birthday with a first time visit to the Two Michelin Star Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs. To say this was a stunning dining experience would be an understatement. The food here is outstanding which is matched with excellent wine pairings. There is also great interaction with not only the staff but the chefs as well. Quite simply a must visit.

I decided to finish the week with a visit to my great friends Haywards Restaurant where chef Jahdre had prepared a Special Tasting Menu for us. This consisted of more amazing new dishes that were of the usual high standard as was the service which made this a fantastic way to finish a fabulous week.
