My Delightful Foodie December

This certainly was a fabulous month and a fantastic way to end a glorious Foodie year. We did manage to squeeze in one new place but mainly it was a month of returning to some old and new favourites. It all started with a fantastic return to The Artichoke in Amersham. This was for a Festive Sunday Lunch and where once again the food and service was excellent.

The following Saturday took us once more to my favourite Haywards in Epping. This restaurant never fails to deliver exceptional food and it was a privilege to sample all the new dishes on the menu which were absolute heaven.

The following Sunday we stayed in Essex by returning to the Hoop in Stock for a great Sunday Roast. This place is very popular and it’s not hard to see why with good food and friendly service makes it a pleasure to visit.

Staying in Essex as we returned to the Pig & Whistle in Chignal Smealy. On this occasion it was for a Festive Afternoon Tea and a delight it was to. It’s a little bit different as the usual finger sandwiches are replaced by savoury items.

Next was an absolutely amazing evening as we returned to Core by Clare Smyth and yet again the food & service was outstanding. This restaurant has definitely risen to the top of my gastronomy experiences.

Our last Foodie outing before the Christmas festivities was for a first visit Porky’s BBQ in Camden Town for a fabulous burger. This was a very friendly place serving great food and well worth a visit.

Of course I couldn’t have finished the year without one last visit to my favourite restaurant Haywards and enjoy a fantastic Christmas Dinner. The turkey and all the trimmings were just heaven along with all the other amazing dishes. Just a perfect way to complete my Foodie year.

Well that’s it folks a fantastic Foodie year has come to an end. I hope you’ve all enjoyed my monthly updates. I definitely have had a great pleasure in visiting lots of fabulous restaurants.

Looking forward to 2019 where I already have a couple of new places lined up early in the year so stay tuned.

Happy New Year to you all

Happy Dining 😀

I'm a big Foodie and love Fine Dining in AA Rosette and Michelin Star restaurants also enjoy good Pub Food especially Desserts . I been living in Hornchurch for 20yrs now and this year celebrate my 25th Wedding Anniversary to my wife Jane . We do enjoy our holidays with Italy & San Diego as our favourite destinations I've decided to focus more on my Foodie life due to over 3 years ago being struck down with nerve damage and recently spondylosis I do enjoy my sport and follow Chelsea , Juventus & San Diego Padres
