We’d been wanting to visit here for a little while now as it was one of the places featured in the Essex Feast book. Having also heard some good things as well we thought it was time to try here ourselves. So with that we opted to go for Sunday Lunch. It’s set on a quiet country lane in Margaretting in Ingatestone. The pub is in a good spacious area with nice grounds which are perfect for the summer. There is also plenty of room inside so whether your party is small or large they would be able to cater for you. As we entered the friendliness of the staff hits you straight away and your made to feel very welcome. We had arrived a little early to have a drink at the bar first to which they told us where we’d be sitting in case we wanted to sit down with our drinks so we did. Without being rushed in any way we decided to look at the menu and you certainly had plenty to choose and my wife couldn’t have been more pleased when told that the Ribs were available. We started with Bruschetta , Duck Terrine & Prawn,Crayfish & Avocado Tian

Wow this place looks amazing! I love when bloggers post restaurant reviews like this. What’s your favorite restaurant of all time?
Now it’s Core by Clare Smyth but I’ll always love my local favourite Haywards in Epping
I’m also also very partial to a restaurant review. Some coming on my blog very soon x
That shake looks delicious!
Better than a shake full of ice cream and chocolate and sticky toffee sauce
