My October Feast 

So here we are in October and it started with an amazing return visit to Oklava in Shoreditch for a fantastic Turkish lunch and a whole different menu to our previous visit it really is food heaven so on the Sunday what you need after tasting that amazing Turkish food is a good English Sunday Roast and that’s exactly what we got at The Jobbers Rest in Upminster which is very quickly becoming one of our favourite places . The following week took us to a New place right in the heart of Covent Garden called Vini Italiani just a small place and mainly renowned for it’s Italian wine but the food they do produce is is of a high quality. This took us on to the Sunday and after having a long day in town we didn’t want to go to far and lucky for us we didn’t have to so yes it was a short walk to the Smokin Griddle for the best burgers you will taste for a long time they are just fantastic along with great shakes , fries & onion rings simply devine . Now the next weekend was definitely the highlight of the month with visits to two of my favourite restaurants firstly to The Artichoke in Amersham for a stunning New Lunch Tasting Menu where once again the food and service was faultless and in my mind a very underrated place and then the Sunday brought us to our second home which is Haywards in Epping for a Sunday Lunch and yes it was as good as always. To round of the month we had a nice family Sunday Lunch at a New place for us The Thatched House which is part of the Vintage Inn chain but I have to say it was a lovely afternoon with nice food and good friendly service .
